Hunger Wipeout FAQs
Here are some helpful things to know about this event:
Registration begins at 9:30am. However, you are welcome to show up and register anytime from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Once you register, you can begin the obstacle course.
You may pre-register at any time. You may also pay at the registration table. Tickets will not be issued. If you pay online or in advance in anyway, your name will be on a list at registration.
You may also register/pay the day of the event.
Children as young as 5 will be able to participate in most, if not all, of the event. But it will be great fun for adults as well.
Parts of the obstacle course & entertainment booths are messy & wet. We have adequate facilities for you to change clothes or wash off. We recommend that you either bring a towel to sit on in the car on the way home or bring a change of clothes.
This is not a race. You can complete the obstacles in any order and are free to participate in the entertainment booths at anytime.
Entertainment booths are areas for more fun & play. There will face-painting from 9:30 – 12:00. There will be sn area for shaving cream art and an area to decorate your own plate and get creative with glitter, markers, glue, etc…
The food vendors will be set up at 10:30 and will tear down around 1pm. Although there will be some tables and chair to sit at, we will not be able to have a seat for everyone. Feel free to bring a blanket and picnic at the beautiful pavilion/garden area on the Food Bank’s property. The food/beverage is not free, so please bring money to support our wonderful food sponsors.
Parking is free and will be adequate on the sides of Curtain Pole Road. You may also park next door at Ram Tool or at the parking lot at the Riverwalk.
River City Corvette Club will be showcasing the custom made toy corvette that they are raffling off in support of the Food Bank. The winner will be chosen on December 4th and you do not have to be present to win. Raffle tickets are $2 with 100% going to the Food Bank. You can purchase these tickets at the event.
You may also take a guided tour of the Food Bank’s 40,000 sq/ft facility. Simply let the volunteers at registration know when you are ready.
This event is outside, so bring sunblock!
If there are any other questions you have, please email Jen Ferking at jferking@chattfoodbank.org.
