In 2012, the Food Bank distributed 8 million pounds of food to people in our 20-county service area of southeast Tennessee and northwest Georgia.

This equated to 476,190 meals per month feeding 20,000 people each week.

64% of the households we serve with emergency food boxes have at least one child living in the residence.

The majority of our clients are considered the “working poor”.  There is very little left from their paycheck to provide food for their family.  Other clients are living on fixed incomes such as veterans, the elderly and the disabled.
