Member Agencies

As a certified member of Feeding America, the Chattanooga Area Food Bank makes donated food available to churches and charities which have been designated as 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporations by the Internal Revenue Service. These agencies must operate some type of program offering feeding assistance to the needy, ill and/or children.
Typical member agencies include: soup kitchens, emergency food pantries, half-way houses, rehabilitation centers, churches and group homes. It is the responsibility of the Food Bank to ensure that all food is properly distributed by all member agencies. It is for this reason that we carefully screen all agencies applying for membership to ensure that they meet all IRS and Feeding America qualifications and do, indeed, provide a legitimate service for the needy.
In our 20 county service area, we have more than 380 member agencies that help us serve 20,000 individuals each week.
If you are interested in becoming a member agency or have additional questions about this program, please contact Pam Brooks at (423) 622-1800 or via email at pbrooks@chattfoodbank.org.
