September is Hunger Action Month!
FEAM hunger TWITTER

This September, join the Chattanooga Area Food Bank to fight hunger during Hunger Action Month®, the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks’ awareness campaign designed to mobilize the public to take action on the issue of hunger. We are a proud member of Feeding America.

One in five people overall and more than one in four children in Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia could face hunger this year in the wake of the pandemic. That’s nearly 200,000 people.

Asking for help isn’t easy but helping can be. Anyone can take action during Hunger Action Month:

  • Make a donation.
  • Sign up to volunteer.
  • Follow us and share our posts post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. Be sure to tag @chattfoodbank, @feedingamerica and @hungeractionmonth.
  • Show your support on Hunger Action Day (September 10) by wearing orange and asking your friends to act too. Post a picture on social media and tag @chattfoodbank, @feedingamerica and #hungeractionday.
  • Host a food drive or an online fundraiser.
  • Download this flyer and display it at your business, school or anywhere you want to show your support.

We need the support of our community more than ever to help our neighbors in need. Together, we can end hunger one helping, or one action, at a time!
