Volunteers of the Quarter: BASF Employees
BASF Volunteers Food Bank

BASF is an international corporation with a large base in our own backyard. In addition to chemistry, since 2015, BASF and its employees have shown a true commitment to alleviating hunger in partnership with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, whether volunteering in the warehouse and packing boxes, sorting donations or sharing food with neighbors at Gateway Towers.

“Through volunteerism, we build goodwill and form new relationships with members of the community while making our community a better place to live,” says Robert Gagliano, site director at two BASF Chattanooga production facilities.

He’s happy to report that most BASF associates are repeat volunteers — they see how rewarding the experience is and continue signing up for shifts. Robert encourages other companies to join the effort to improve life where they live and work and create positive change. We have so much appreciation for our local BASF team members and their dedication to improving life here in our community.

The hard work of Chattanooga Area Food Bank volunteers helps fill empty plates every day. If you’d like to get involved, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Mark Schock at mschock@chattfoodbank.org.
