The Food Lion Feeds Foundation will restock three partner agencies of the Chattanooga Area Food Bank with food and funds: The Care Mission, Chickamauga Senior Center, and Helping Hands Ending Hunger. Each agency will receive donations of food and gift cards from their local Food Lion that will increase their capacity to serve their communities. Agencies are located in Walker County which is projected to experience a 30% overall increase in the risk for hunger due to the pandemic; for children in Walker County, food insecurity is expected to increase by up to 46%.

Representatives from the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, Food Lion stores, and the agencies receiving the food were on hand to unload and stock the food.
