Northwest Georgia Community Engagement Manager
Dalton, GA | Full-Time | In-Person
Salary Range: $52,000–$55,000
At the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, we believe food is a basic human right. Every day, we work across a 20-county region to feed, nourish, and empower our neighbors through a network of partners, volunteers, donors, and advocates.
As food insecurity continues to rise across our region, the Chattanooga Area Food Bank is growing in response to the need. We are expanding our Community Engagement team to deepen relationships, strengthen local partnerships, and increase community engagement throughout Northwest Georgia.

The Northwest Georgia Community Engagement Manager serves as a visible ambassador for the Food Bank throughout the region, building relationships, supporting events and food drives, engaging donors and volunteers, and helping communities connect to the mission of ending hunger.
What You’ll Do
Build Community Relationships
- Represent the Food Bank throughout Northwest Georgia
- Build relationships with community leaders, businesses, civic organizations, schools, and supporters
- Increase awareness and engagement around the Food Bank’s mission and work
- Help strengthen CAFB’s presence and visibility throughout the region
Lead Regional Events & Drives
- Plan and support community engagement events across Northwest Georgia
- Coordinate food and fund drives with schools, businesses, and community organizations
- Help create welcoming, mission-centered experiences for volunteers, donors, and community supporters
Support Donor & Volunteer Engagement
- Steward community supporters and assigned donors through relationship-based engagement
- Ensure timely follow-up, gratitude, and recognition for involvement and giving
- Support donor relationship tracking and engagement documentation in Raiser’s Edge NXT
Collaborate Across Teams
- Work closely with Development, Operations, Volunteer Engagement, and Communications teams
- Help ensure consistency in messaging, branding, and community experience across the region
- Communicate regularly with internal teams regarding regional opportunities and activities
What We’re Looking For
- Must have a degree or equivalent education/experience
- 2+ years of experience in community engagement, nonprofit outreach, fundraising support, events, or related work
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable representing an organization publicly and building community connections
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while staying connected to team goals
- Passion for serving communities across Northwest Georgia

This is an in-person role based in Dalton, Georgia, with regular travel throughout Northwest Georgia. Some evening and weekend work is required.
