How we solve hunger together
Through programs strategically designed for kids, seniors, families, and communities, our initiatives move us closer to a future where every table is full.
Choose what nourishes you
Foxwood Food Center is our grocery-store-style food pantry where guests pick the food they receive. Anyone is welcome at Foxwood, and they can receive food every 30 days. Foxwood utilizes the guest-choice model of food assistance, prioritizing the dignity of those who visit. Guests receive a box of pantry staples and non-perishables, then a volunteer guides them through the aisles to choose the groceries that work best for the people in their households.

Fresh food, where it’s needed most
We organize food distributions at schools, community centers, senior centers, and places of worship to deliver groceries directly to communities facing hunger. Mobile pantries can be lifelines for our rural communities where access to fresh, nutritious food may be scarce. Mobile pantries also help families who have inadequate transportation and can’t travel as far as others.

Our Hunger Relief Network
We supply food to a wide network of food pantries, senior centers, community programs, urban and community gardens, and children’s programs. Our partners are spread across the 20 counties in our service area, providing much-needed resources to their communities. By partnering with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, ordering, delivering, and distributing nutritious food is made effective and efficient.

Because no child should worry about their next meal
Every child needs access to healthy, nourishing food to thrive— in and out of the classroom. Our Sack Packs and Summer Bags ensure children who are facing food insecurity have enough to eat over weekends and summer breaks. We work with schools, local organizations, and community centers to distribute bundles of child-friendly foods such as easy-to-open and prepare meals, cereals, granola bars, juice, and fruit. We also establish in-school pantries that the whole family can use.

Healthy food for every stage of life
Our senior programs ensure older adults have reliable access to healthy groceries. In our network, our offered programs include
home delivery for seniors facing mobility or transportation challenges, groceries including pantry staples and fresh produce at low- or no-cost distributions, and community meal support in partnership with local organizations. Together with caregivers and community partners, we help seniors stay nourished, independent, and connected.

Growing food, knowledge, & community
In our on-site garden, we grow fresh produce for the Foxwood Food Center, start seedlings for community members and gardens, and host hands-on gardening classes. Our work extends beyond our property as we support a network of school and community center gardens with materials, labor, and seedlings. Through these efforts, children and families gain fun, educational experiences that deepen their connection to the local food system and encourage the next generation to give back.
Emergency assistance when and where it’s needed most
In times of disaster, many people lose access to food, often with no time to prepare. The Chattanooga Area Food Bank sources and funnels additional resources to those who are affected by storms, floods, fires, and other emergency situations. We collaborate with first responders, the Feeding America network of food banks, community organizations, and hunger-relief partners to provide food, water, and other essentials to those who are impacted.
